Brief History of The Financial Institution

Silicon Valley Bank is also known as “SVB” was founded by Bill Biggerstaff and Robert Medearis over a poker game in the year 1982. The bank opened its first office in 1983 on North First Street in San Jose.

The Palo Alto office opened in the year 1985. And the main strategy of the bank was receiving deposits from businesses that are financed through venture capital.
